3. Receiving Purchase Orders

4. Completing the Sale

  1. The Sales Agreementback to top

The Sales Agreement contains the minimum listing requirements and the commission rates for the service.  It provides a mutual understanding of the terms of sale for products that are listed.  The Sales Agreement does not obligate the clien to list any products. Please e-mail or call 1-315-883-1991 to discuss the sales opportunities for your extra stock.  They will be happy to assist you with the sales agreement.

  2. Listing a Productback to top

Inventory may be submitted online, via fax or e-mail to Direct Alloys for listing with the complete product  description and mill cert, if immediately available.  For convenience please fill out an Online New Product Listing Form and scan/email or fax the cert to Direct Alloys. Alternatively download and print a copy of our New Product Listing Form.pdf version to complete the information.  Sellers may also submit their inventory by e-mail to sales@directalloys.com.  Please include the information listed on the New Product Listing Form.  If you have any questions please call us and we will be happy to assist you.

Sellers determine their own asking selling price.  Direct Alloys commission may be added to or included in the price at sellers discretion. Factors to consider for pricing include age, lot size, and individual piece size, as well as current market conditions and the urgency of sale.  After Direct Alloys has reviewed and accepted the listing request, we will add the item to the online Clearinghouse.   Direct Alloys will also request periodic updates of inventory status to keep listings active.  Their is no minimum list period or exclusivity for listings until a potential buyer has been identified.  Sellers have the option of using or removing items without notification to Direct Alloys.

When an inquiry is received for an item, Direct Alloys will notify the seller to reconfirm availability and pricing prior to quoting the item.  Feedback regarding pricing, etc. will also be provided.  The name of the customer, seller and specific material location are not identified until a sale is pending.

  3. Receiving Purchase Ordersback to top

When a customer wishes to purchase a product through Direct Alloys, a e-mail is sent to the seller a e-mail notification of the item to be purchased including the pertinent customer information.  The seller notifies Direct Alloys of the applicable payment terms.   Direct Alloys then provides the buyer with the seller's contact details.  The purchase order is entered directly to the seller, with a copy sent to Direct Alloys.   Questions regarding the order should be channeled through Direct Alloys so that we may continue to assist the sales process.

  4. Completing the Saleback to top

Once the buyer enters the purchase order for a product quoted by Direct Alloys the steps to completing the sale are the same as would be used for standard products; including shipment, invoicing and collection.  Direct Alloys assists in these steps as necessary to complete the selling process.
